Both sets of parents I've had have wanted me to be safe. My birth parents sent me away so that I'd live; and my adoptive parents tried to stop me from using my powers outside the house so I'd fit in and seem 'normal.'

( It didn't work out all that well in the beginning. )

One time, I took Alex--my sister--flying. We got caught. Alex got the brunt of the punishment, which I didn't think was fair. So, I stopped doing it. Because she didn't deserve to get in trouble for my mistakes.

I didn't like it, either. Staying on the ground. I get where you're coming from, there.

I can't fly. And sometimes it feels like I never will. My powers don't work properly like yours and dad. The Justice League knows I mess up.

[ And deep down, Jon will never lose that fear. That the Justice League will come and take him away. That ultimately, Jon is an aberration. ]

I wish I had a sibling. It'd be nice to know someone like me.
